About the property

Welcome to Adobe Retreat, a light-filled historic adobe just four blocks from Taos Plaza. Gather under soaring viga ceilings by the wood-burning fireplace, cook in a tile-trimmed kitchen with a sunny breakfast bar, and step out to a private, adobe-walled courtyard framed by green lawns and old cottonwoods. With local art at every turn and radiant-heated floors underfoot, this single-level home is a peaceful base for art, dining, and mountain adventures.

Adobe Retreat is a classic single-level adobe home tucked into a quiet Taos neighborhood, just four blocks from the shops, galleries, and restaurants of the historic Plaza. Soaring wood-beam ceilings, skylights, hand-painted tile, and the work of local artists give the home its warm, unmistakably Taos character.

Inside, an open layout flows from a comfortable living room with a wood-burning fireplace to a tile-trimmed kitchen and a sunny dining nook with banquette seating. Two restful bedrooms and two full bathrooms, each finished with hand-painted Talavera sinks, give couples or a small family room to spread out. Outside, a private adobe-walled courtyard, covered portal, and landscaped lawn invite slow mornings and easy evenings in the high-desert air.

Whether you are here for the galleries and Plaza, a ski trip to Taos Ski Valley, or simply a quiet reset, Adobe Retreat blends historic charm with everyday comfort.
